The Library has received a tremendous response from the local art community regarding its Virtual Art Show, which will be available to view starting this weekend, at http://www.eastonlibrary.org/art-exhibits. Many wonderful works of art were submitted, and the Library wishes to thank all participants. Also, special thanks to Kit Briner and Dolly Curtis of the Easton Arts Council for helping to get the word out.
The Library has purchased an online subscription to Value Line, a popular investment research publication, which had previously been offered in print. “During this time especially, it is important for patrons to have remote access to this information,” said Lynn Zaffino, Library Director. Value Line can be accessed from the Library’s website, both on the Digital Library page and the Online Reference page.
In conjunction with Easton’s 175th Anniversary Celebration, the Library is hosting an Oral/Written History Project, which seeks to connect students with longtime residents. The students would interview and record the residents, and these recordings would be archived by the Library. They would also be sent to the Easton Courier for publication. On Thursday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m., the Library will host a Family Trivia Night via Zoom. It will be a fun and friendly Jeopardy-style trivia competition for all ages. Individuals and family teams are welcome to participate. To register for this or other programs, visit http://www.eastonlibrary.org.
