Burglary and Larceny

A Bridgeport man was accused of stealing items from a vacant home in Easton where the owner hired workers in August 2019, police said. Video surveillance from a local pawn shop captured the accused selling the items. A warrant for his arrest was issued in November 2019.

Marc Pasquinel Alamandy, 42, of Camden Street, Bridgeport,  was charged Aug. 19 with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the fourth degree and was processed at Bridgeport Superior Court.

Alamandy has a criminal history of burglary in Stratford and is currently serving time for previous crimes, police said.

Theft from Mailbox

Two Easton residents reported personal checks stolen from their mailboxes on Aug. 20. They said the checks were left for postal pickup. In both incidents, the checks were altered/forged with a different recipient name and a different amount and cashed at the bank.

The Easton Police Department is located at 700 Morehouse Road, Easton, CT 06612, 203-268-4111, EastonCT.gov.
