Virtual Debate for 135th District
The Weston League of Women Voters will hold a virtual debate between incumbent Anne Hughes (D) and challenger John Shaban (R), candidates for Connecticut Assembly District 135, via a Zoom webinar on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The moderator will be Laura Smits, who is Vice President of Voter Services of the League of Women Voters of Connecticut, and a long-time member of the Weston League. The debate will be in the format of a question-and-answers timed response.

Virtual Debate for 4th Congressional District
The Westport Library and the League of Women Voters of Connecticut and local Leagues of Women Voters from towns throughout the 4th Congressional District will hold a candidate debate between incumbent Congressman Jim Himes (D) and Jonathan Riddle (R) and moderated by Kay Maxwell.
Please register for the debate being live-streamed from the Trefz Forum at the Westport Library.
Constituents will be able to submit written questions after registering and up to the day of debate. Consistent with League guidelines, constituent questions will be screened by the League (one screener from each major party) for clarity, non-duplication, and applicability to both candidates.
