Easton’s Annual Town meeting took place Monday evening at Samuel Staples Elementary School with roughly 15 residents attending in person and over 880 others accessing the video stream on FaceBook. The agenda included the following seven items:

1) discussion of the proposed Annual Town Budget of $46,249,385 for fiscal year 2021-2022 as recommended by the Board of Finance

2) acceptance of the five-year capital project plan

3) setting the due date for tax bills for July 1, 2021, and January 2, 2022

4) approval of a special appropriation in the amount of $75,000 for Easton’s 50% share of the estimated cost of engineering design work for the Judd Road bridge replacement

5) approval of a special appropriation of $150,000 for estimated cost of the engineering design work for the Valley Road bridge replacement

6) discussion of the Easton Resolution on Racism and Public Health

7) adjournment of the Town Meeting to a machine vote on the Annual Budget for 2021-2022 and the Easton Resolution on Racism and Public Health.
