The Easton EMS will conduct interviews for its fall live-in program starting in August. Connecticut-certified emergency medical technicians (EMTs) who are attending local universities live at Easton EMS headquarters through the program and answer 911 calls.
At the same time they gain experience in the field of emergency medicine, connect with the community and make friends with like-minded members who value the EMS and giving back to people in need.
Time volunteered answering 911 medical calls for help may translate into clinical hours that can be used toward a degree in nursing or as a physician assistant.
The Easton EMS operates two Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances, an administrative fly car and an all-terrain rescue vehicle.
