Limited to First 25 People Who Sign Up

Lyon Cemetery

The Easton Cemetery Committee announces its third historical tour in its 2020-21 series which will explore Lyon Cemetery, a small family cemetery in upper Easton, and the vibrant history of the Rock House area, on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m.

The tour, which will be led by local historian and Easton resident Frank Pagliaro, will also include an overview of the region before the creation of Weston, industries that flourished along the Aspetuck River, the changing religious affiliations of residents over time, and the Black and Indigenous populations of northern Easton.

The event will start promptly at 11 a.m. and last about an hour. As the tour is limited to 25 people, registration is required. To register, please email your request to eastonctcemetery@yahoo.com and include how many will attend in your party.

Masks and social distancing will be required per the town’s guidelines on that day; participants should wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk on the uneven ground in the cemetery. Parking will be along Sport Hill Road, just south of Rock House Road.
