Vincent Caprio, founder and executive director of Water Innovations Alliance Foundation, has been named to the 2021 Environment+Energy Leader 100.

As an advocate to repairing America’s water infrastructure, Caprio founded the Water Innovations Alliance Foundation  in October 2008 and created the Water 2.0 conference series of which he is currently chairman emeritus. The foundation is devoted to educating Americans about the nation’s aging water infrastructure.

Caprio studies specific technologies that affect business and society in their early stages. By building community networks centered around his conferences, he has facilitated the growth of new technologies, including nanotechnology, clean water technology and most recently, engineering software.

He creates brands and business organizations focused on specific technology markets and launches educational events that connect and empower investors, technologists, CEOs and legislators.

“The honorees on the annual list show groundbreaking work and dedication to the field of sustainability and energy management,” said Paul Nastu, president of Environment+Energy Leader. “We’re thrilled to recognize this year’s honorees and congratulate all who made the list.”

Now in its fifth year, the annual Environment+Energy Leader 100 recognizes environment and energy “doers” who create new solutions, programs, platforms, best practices and products to help their companies — or other companies — achieve greater success in commercial and industrial environment and energy management.

Nominations are open to the public and the final honoree list is selected by Environment+Energy Leader. See this year’s honorees and past honorees here: https://www.environmentalleader.com/ee-100-honorees/.
