Warrant Arrest

A 34-year-old resident of Bridgeport was processed by the Easton Police Department when a citizen phoned to report an erratic driver at approximately 10 a.m. on Jan. 6. During the resultant motor vehicle stop, police discovered an outstanding warrant issued by Westport Police for failure to appear, police said. The driver was released on a $30,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear at the Norwalk Courthouse on Jan. 14.

DUI Arrest

A citizen reported an erratic driver who had crashed into a snowbank on Jan. 9 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Police located the driver, a 25-year-old resident of Bridgeport, pulled over to the side of the road. She stated she was “too drunk to drive,” police said. After failing to perform several field sobriety tests, the driver was placed under arrest and taken into custody for processing. She was later released to a friend after posting a $100 cash bond and is scheduled to appear at the Bridgeport Courthouse on Jan. 18.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

The Easton Police Department is located at 700 Morehouse Road, Easton, CT 06612, 203-268-4111, EastonCT.gov.
