DUI Arrest
An erratic driver was reported on Friday, March 25, at approximately 7:50 p.m. An officer located the vehicle and observed the driver veer into the southbound lane and cross the double yellow line three times.
The driver, 34, a resident of Danbury, admitted to drinking and the officer observed his eyes were red, bloodshot, and watery. The driver’s speech was slurred, his clothes and breath emitted alcoholic odor and he was unable to perform the standardized field sobriety tests, according to the officer’s report.
The driver was charged with Operating a MV under the Influence, Failure to Drive Right, and Failure to Renew Registration. After being processed, he was released to his family after posting a $100 Bond. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Courthouse on March 31.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
