Christmas is fast approaching and, for those who are new to town, you may not know that Easton is the Christmas Tree Capital of Connecticut. There are several farms throughout Easton that are listed below for families to hand pick the tree of their choice. Many are opening to the public soon for a great annual holiday experience. Some offer hot cocoa, hay rides, and more.

Maple Row Farm at 229 Stepney Road will begin selling trees Nov. 19. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Ganim Tree Farm at 28 Center Road will be open on Nov. 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and  on Saturdays and Sundays until Christmas from 9-5. Their primary offering this season will be Premium Canadian Fraser Firs ranging from 7-8 feet tall that will be sold pre-cut. There will also be a small selection of White Spruces varying in size that are available for cutting. 

Everett’s Corner Tree Farm at 136 Sherwood Road will be open Nov. 25, 26, 27, and Dec. 3, 4, 10, and 11. This year the farm is offering a selection of White Spruce and Blue Spruce choose-and-cut Christmas trees. 

 Sabia Tree Farm at 772 Morehouse Road will open in late November through December. On Black Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, Saturdays and Sundays from  9 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from 12 p.m to 5p.m. The farm stand is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Fresh cut Christmas Trees will be available at Silverman’s Farm at 451 Sport Hill Road throughout the rest of November and December, as well as decorated country wreaths, ribbons, garland, and holiday gifts. The farm is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Slady’s Christmas Tree Farm, located at 65 Orchard Lane., usually begins selling trees around Dec. 1. For more information call (203) 261-3047.
