This past year we’ve provided a number of museum passes for families to access throughout the year; supported the Summer Reading program and the One Book One Town initiative; and paid for the refurbishment of the outdoor back patio\, complete with furniture and umbrellas and – soon to come – attractive landscaping. We are always open to suggestions for how to enhance our gem of a library with our contributions. \nWe welcome volunteers and encourage townspeople to become members of our group. Please go to our website eastonlibraryfriends.org to sign up. SUMMARY:Frog Frolic Family Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Mark Twain Library is excited to announce the return of the Frog Frolic! After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic\, this fun filled family outdoor festival is making its triumphant return on Saturday\, May 14th. This extra special day of family fun is in its 25th year and will bring back some mainstay activities as well as introduce new attractions geared for kids anywhere from age 3 to 103! Sit back and listen to music\, bid on something in the silent auction\, take a bite out of yummy eats\, play games\, get creative making crafts\, jump in the bouncers…and more! \nThe Frolic takes place outdoors amid Redding’s rolling hills just outside the Redding Community Center. All proceeds benefit the Mark Twain Library. The Library was founded by Samuel Clemens – Mark Twain\, himself — in 1908. Twain moved to Redding\, CT\, in 1907. The Frog Frolic takes its name from the infamous short story by Twain\, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n Like this:Like Loading...
