SUMMARY:A Conversation with Easton Author Kirsten Smith Navin
DESCRIPTION:Greiser’s will host a reading and book talk with Kirsten Smith Navin\, author of The Squire Thief\, on Sunday\, March 15\, 3:30 PM.\nKirsten Smith Navin\, who has lived in Easton for 20 years\, drew on her Long Island childhood as daughter of the local police chief for her debut novel\, The Squire Thief. SUMMARY:EPICS Career Search Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Karen Anderson-Fignon of EPICS (Environment and Personality Intuitive Card Sort)\, a digital resource that addresses different aspects of career development. She will lead a workshop consisting of two different activities: Career Journaling Circles and Career Environment Collage.\nRegistration is required.\nThe Environment and Personality Intuitive Card Sort (EPICS) helps you to recognize dominant themes/characteristics within your personality that are necessary to express in your environment. These themes are based on the Holland themes. Knowing your themes can help clarify and/or reaffirm your stronger characteristics to incorporate into career choices or work transitions to make them meaningful and successful. The EPICS also helps to identify and address your personal obstacles and/or challenges that interfere with career selection or transition. The EPICS consists of 108 picture cards designed to evoke intuitive\, emotional and cognitive responses. The responses are influenced from past experiences\, emotional ties and intuition. Being a right-brain strategy\, the EPICS also can help identify obstacles and barriers that holdback clients from moving forward with career exploration. In addition\, the EPICS can be a springboard for exploring both career and personal transitions.\nSponsored by Easton Public Library. \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:Meteorite Night at Greiser's
DESCRIPTION:Join Our Annual Celebration of Easton’s Claim to Astronomical Fame with Our Star Speaker Barista and Published Expert Frank Pagliaro\nEvery December at Greiser’s we celebrate the cosmic 1807 event that put Easton at the center of scientific exploration.\nCelebrate and learn about the world-famous meteorite that was observed by Eastonites in the sky before it landed on farmland here on a winter night\, 218 years ago. The event is known as the first documented observation of space stuff landing in North America.\nChunks of our town meteor (officially and misleadingly known as the Weston Meteorite) are held in collections around the world\, from the Yale Peabody Museum in New Haven to the Vatican Observatory in Italy. Thanks to our own so-much-more-than-just-a-barista Frank Pagliaro\, history was corrected with his 2009 scientific paper\, published with the geologist M. Robson\, “Weston: Revised position for a historically significant meteorite fall\,” in the journal Meteoritics & Planetary Science.\nOn Sunday\, January 25\, 2026\, from 5pm – 7pm\, come to enjoy Frank’s entertaining and informative talk while noshing on an assortment of homemade celestial canapés and cosmic cocktails.\nWarning: There’s a strong chance you’ll depart this event inspired to obtain a metal detector and launch a meteorite hunt on your own property. One of our past lecture guests returned the following year for show-and-tell with the specimen he dug up in his own back yard!\nPlease book your spot in person at the store or online here by January 15.

SUMMARY:Easton Graveyards
DESCRIPTION:Frank Pagliaro’s cemetery talks and tours are not about ghosts; rather\, they focus on the people who lie in the graveyards who would have been our neighbors. Frank explains how the living dealt with death\, including past customs\, changes in practices\, and iconography\, and touches on cemetery maintenance and preservation. He also connects the houses or locations that some of the cemetery residents used to call home. \nLocal historian Frank Pagliaro is a 30-year Easton resident and a member of the Cemetery Committee\, the Historic Preservation Review Commission\, and a former member of the Historical Society. Frank gives talks and tours about all things Easton\, its history\, and its cemeteries.
