SYNESTHESIA Art Exhibit and LITMUS Concert

SYNESTHESIA is on display at the Easton Public Library conference room from through March 31. This is a select collection of works by Danbury artist Gene Moore created in the past 10 years.

The exhibit consists of pen/pencil, paint and a digital format focusing on science fiction, country and cityscapes. Gene draws inspiration from the world of music particularly from the experimental, psychedelic rock and free jazz movement i.e., Ornette Coleman, Bill Dixon, John Cage and the like. Typically, he inserts music that fits the piece of artwork.

Gene is a lifelong artist, human rights activist, husband and father, musician and member of the LITMUS band.

There will be a special art reception and live concert to celebrate the exhibit on Saturday, Feb. 24. The community is invited to the library conference room from 3 to 5 p.m. for an art reception and followed by a live concert by LITMUS in the library community room from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
