Photo Gallery: Easton Celebrates Memorial Day

The Easton community turned out despite the overcast sky for the Memorial Day Parade to honor the sacrifices of U.S. military members who died while serving in the Armed Forces.

The rain stopped just in time for the parade to step off at 9:30 a.m. The crowd watched as it wound its way along the parade route to the Easton Town Hall where a ceremony honored those who gave their lives defending our freedoms.

The assembled crowd observed a salute to Easton veterans with a flag raising and rifle salute. After the ceremony, short observances were held at the Union and Aspetuck cemeteries.
