Christ Church’s Concerts on the Hill Kicks off with Juneteenth Celebration

Christ Church will kick off this year’s Concerts on the Hill summer season with its annual Juneteenth and Father’s Day celebration on Sunday, June 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Carl & Florisca Carter of Easton will perform a mix of funk, soul, reggae, gospel and world beat music. The popular food truck Me’stezo Grill will be on the premises offering a selection of fresh Latin American food prepared with locally grown ingredients.

The Juneteenth celebration is co-hosted by the Easton Diversity & Inclusion Task Force and sponsored by the Leonard-Litz Foundation and Tidewater Electronics, Inc.

The 2024 summer concert program line up includes:

  • 6/23: Amber Anchor: Folk, Americana
  • 6/30: Hitch & the Giddyup: American Roots, Bluegrass, Folk, and Beyond
  • Opening act: Lara Schuler
  • 7/7: Birdsey Beers: Groove-driven Blues and Rock
  • 7/14: The Low Darts: New Generation Classic Rock, Pop and Soul
  • 7/21: Massive Diva: Funky Blues and Big Ballads
  • 7/28: CT Grateful Dead All-Stars: Grateful Dead tribute band

Concert tickets are adults $10, seniors $7, kids are free. BYOB picnics and leashed dogs welcome. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Music begins at 6 and continues through 8 p.m. The church address is 59 Church Road.
