Christ Church will kick off this year’s Concerts on the Hill summer season with its annual Juneteenth and Father’s Day celebration on Sunday, June 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Carl & Florisca Carter of Easton will perform a mix of funk, soul, reggae, gospel and world beat music. The popular food truck Me’stezo Grill will be on the premises offering a selection of fresh Latin American food prepared with locally grown ingredients.
The Juneteenth celebration is co-hosted by the Easton Diversity & Inclusion Task Force and sponsored by the Leonard-Litz Foundation and Tidewater Electronics, Inc.
The 2024 summer concert program line up includes:
- 6/23: Amber Anchor: Folk, Americana
- 6/30: Hitch & the Giddyup: American Roots, Bluegrass, Folk, and Beyond
- Opening act: Lara Schuler
- 7/7: Birdsey Beers: Groove-driven Blues and Rock
- 7/14: The Low Darts: New Generation Classic Rock, Pop and Soul
- 7/21: Massive Diva: Funky Blues and Big Ballads
- 7/28: CT Grateful Dead All-Stars: Grateful Dead tribute band
Concert tickets are adults $10, seniors $7, kids are free. BYOB picnics and leashed dogs welcome. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Music begins at 6 and continues through 8 p.m. The church address is 59 Church Road.
