State Senator Tony Hwang, R-28th

“I am deeply grateful to the residents who entrusted me with your vote, allowing me the privilege of representing you for another term as your state senator,” Hwang said. “In this election, the people of the 28th Senate District have shown that progress and integrity can indeed triumph over divisive politics. This victory represents a commitment to people over politics, a sentiment that means everything to me.
“Public service matters profoundly. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our constituents and strive to make Connecticut a better place to live, work, and raise our families.
“I am immensely proud of our campaign — a campaign rooted in positivity, empowerment, and sustainable solutions. It has been an effort guided by experience, independent thinking, and a commitment to always being present and engaged in our community. My heartfelt thanks to the countless friends and volunteers who shared in our mission, giving their time and passion toward a common goal for the community we love.
“The challenges ahead in Connecticut are significant, but our vision for a more affordable and collaborative approach has resonated with so many. I am ready to keep building a future that respects our differences, our neighbors, and our shared values as Connecticut residents,” Hwang said.
State Rep. Anne Hughes, D-135th
“I am thrilled and in awe of the record turnout for this election, and deeply grateful to our registrars, poll workers and staff for their tireless work in rolling out our first-ever two weeks of early in-person voting that was so successful,” Hughes said. “Between 85 and 90% of us across the district voted to choose who we wanted to represent us — for president and vice president, to serve us in Congress, and who represents us in the state Legislature in Hartford.
“I am so grateful to be chosen once again to be your state representative. I am proud of our town, of our record voter turnout, and of this decisive win to re-election to represent Easton, Weston and Redding. Every election matters. Every vote counts. It is an honor to be re-elected to serve everyone, regardless of who you voted for, and to make good policy for our community. I am determined, no matter what we face next, we have laid the groundwork together for a better engaged and connected future in Connecticut with our state government and with each other. Thank you for showing up and for choosing me to serve you in such a time as this. Fourth term, here we come!”
State Rep. Tony Scott, R-112th
“It has been an honor to represent Monroe, Easton and Trumbull residents in Hartford for the past four years, and I am thankful for the continued support,” Scott said. “Attending community events and talking with our neighbors has guided my work in the Legislature and will continue to do so.
“I’ve heard from many residents about the need to focus over the next two years on lowering the cost of living in Connecticut so all of our children can afford to continue living here after college and seniors can retire here. With their backing, I will work to make a positive impact in our communities, lower the cost of living, and fight to maintain local control,” Scott said.
