In recent weeks, our sister city, Sviatohirsk in Ukraine, has faced relentless overnight strikes by Russian drones targeting civilian areas. The frontline is urgently seeking electronic defense equipment and medical supplies. While many Sviatohirsk residents temporarily evacuate, most return within weeks, determined not to abandon their homes. Because the town lies near water, deep bunkers are not possible. Civilians often choose to sleep in their own beds, despite the ever-present risk of drone strikes overhead.
