A New Accessibility Ramp Welcomed at the Congregational Church of Easton

After centuries of serving as a beloved community center of faith and gathering in Easton, the Congregational Church has taken an important step toward greater accessibility by installing a new ramp to the sanctuary. This addition ensures that visitors of all abilities can enter and worship with ease, reinforcing the church’s long-standing commitment to welcoming all who come through its doors.

As the foundational religious and civic center of early Easton’s North Fairfield Parish, the Congregational Church has been a cornerstone of spiritual life and community engagement for generations. For well over two centuries, families have been baptized, married, comforted, and celebrated within its walls. The church has witnessed historic moments in the life of the town — from early pastoral leadership through periods of growth, challenges, and renewal. Its classic architecture and enduring presence reflect both the traditions of New England congregationalism and the evolving needs of the community it serves.

Over the years, the church has hosted not only worship services but also community gatherings, charity events, and cultural programs — becoming a place where neighbors come together in times of joy and in times of need. The installation of the new accessibility ramp continues this legacy by ensuring that all who wish to participate in the life of the church can do so with greater comfort and ease.
