The Easton Public Library has a great lineup of programs for the month of March.

Starting off the month is a Karaoke Night for all ages on March 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. Hamden-based FM Productions will be on hand to provide the music and karaoke machine. This is a great opportunity for a family, a group of friends, or individuals to come out and have fun!

On Wednesday, March 13, from 6 to 7:15 p.m., a representative from USA Financial & Tax Services will present Social Security Strategies and Your Retirement Future. This program will cover timing strategies, tax liability, and benefit values. If retirement is on your horizon, you don’t want to miss this!

Newtown author Sharon Cohen will join us on Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m. to discuss her new book, Connecticut Industries Unite for WWII Victory. She will discuss the many ways that Connecticut mills and factories contributed to World War II victory. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Our Classic Film Series continues on Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m., with a screening of the 1952 film The Quiet Man, starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. This program is hosted by Easton resident and film historian Jon Sonneborn, and co-sponsored by the Easton Arts Council.

To celebrate Neurodiversity Week, the Library will present a screening of the film How to Dance in Ohio, which features teenagers on the autism spectrum preparing for their Spring Formal. This program is co-sponsored by the Easton Diversity and Inclusion Task Force (EDIT).
