Governor Ned Lamont along with Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz and U.S. Rep. Jim Himes will headline the Reproductive Rights Rally on Oct. 5 at noon In Easton. They will join elected officials, candidates and community leaders from across the region. Among the list of speakers will be Nancy DiNardo, chairwoman of the Democratic Party of Connecticut. 

The gathering will address the threat to women’s autonomy over their health and decisions that affect them, their families and loved ones.  Even in Connecticut where people have protections for these freedoms, they are at risk from potential federal overreach, according to a press release submitted by the Beth Cliff campaign.

Cliff of Easton is the Democratic candidate for House District 112 serving Easton, Monroe and Trumbull. She is challenging incumbent state Rep. Tony Scoll of Monroe.

All are invited to lift their voices and assemble together in support of a woman’s right to choose. The rally will be at the Morehouse Pavilion, 413 Morehouse Road, Easton at noon.  Free parking is available at the Samuel Staples Elementary School parking lot and the nearby soccer fields.
