Memorial Day weekend activities in Easton are quickly approaching. Residents are set to line the parade route on Memorial Day, May 26, and attend ceremonies to honor the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States.

On Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. a Hill Climb Demonstration & Car ShowĀ will be held at the Easton Public Library parking lot to celebrate the history of the Sport Hill Climb Race in Easton. The event will showcase early brass cars and other pre-war autos in celebration of the Sport Hill Climb races, which began in 1902 and would become one of the most widely attended races in the nation. The Easton Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for Monday, May 26, set to begin at the Easton Fire Station at 9:30 a.m. and end at the Town Hall. Following the parade, there will be a ceremony honoring those who gave their lives defending America and the nation’s freedoms. Isabel Mariani will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America. The opening invocation and closing benediction will be provided by local church leaders.Ā After the ceremony, short remembrances will be held at the Easton Cemeteries.Ā All are welcome.

The following weekend, on Saturday, May 31, Christ Church of Easton at 59 Church Road will host a Farmhouse Flea & Community Tag Sale Ā from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizers expect it to be the first of what will become an annual event.
