An unofficial ground-breaking ceremony was held at the site of the Easton EMS building renovation on July 14. First Selectman David Bindelglass explained that with the renovation, there was no actual groundbreaking or demolition.
Substantial progress has already been made as is obvious from driving by. The posting of official notice of construction was unveiled, and Bindelglass wanted to take the opportunity to recognize the Easton residents who served on the Building Committee, and the EMS leadership and volunteers, as well as Architects Alloy Design Studio and Bismark Construction.
Of course, he said, the real celebration will be next year with the grand opening.
