Easton Arts Council is pleased to present a solo exhibition by contemporary painter Randy Carboni, on view at the Easton Library from Oct. 17 through Nov. 29. A public reception will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Easton Library offering visitors the opportunity to meet the artist and explore his vibrant and expressive work.
Born in 1965 in Ridgefield, Connecticut, and currently residing in Bethel, Carboni has developed a distinctive style that infuses energy and emotion into every piece. Whether working in watercolor or oil, his subject matter spans plein air landscapes, still life, animals, and people, each rendered with a dynamic and personal touch.
“Art has always been a way to keep harmony in my life,” Carboni shares. “I am always learning and exploring with my art, as that keeps me and my viewer interested and excited for the next piece.”
Carboni’s creative process is as unique as his vision. In watercolor, he begins each piece with an ink drawing using an eyedropper, then applies color with a brush and manipulates it using various studio tools. His oil paintings, created with a palette knife, are known for their vibrant color and expressive emotion, capturing movement and mood in bold strokes.

The exhibition promises a compelling look into the mind of an artist who continually pushes boundaries while staying grounded in the joy of creation. Visitors can expect a rich visual experience that reflects Carboni’s passion for exploration and his deep connection to the subjects he paints.
