Christ Church is offering its Ash & Dash on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Drivers pulling into the church parking lot can receive ashes while remaining in their car during these times.
“Christ Church is delighted to make this holy ritual available to the Easton and surrounding communities. A sacred symbol of our shared humanity, need, and the tender care of our Creator, the sprinkling of ashes also marks the beginning of the season of Lent shared by Christians,” Senior Warden Vicki MarkAnthony said.
Christ Church is located at the intersection of Church Road and Route 59. Christ Church and Emmanuel Church Weston will host an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Church located at 285 Lyons Plain Road in Weston. The brief service will include a reading of Holy Scriptures, a Lenten reflection, prayers, and the imposition of ashes.
