Easton Leads – COVID and Your Mental Health
May 17, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Please join the Easton Democratic Town Committee (DTC) on Sunday, 5/17 at 7:30PM as we continue our series of online events to help foster resilience as we face COVID-19 together.
This “Easton Leads” installment will help you understand the mental health impact of COVID-19, secondary stress, and resources to sustain us during this difficult time.
We are thrilled to have State Representative Anne Hughes moderating this discussion for us. She is also a licensed Master Social Worker, and she’s brought together some of Connecticut’s leading health experts to help us understand the mental health impacts and resources available to our communities. Dr. Carrissa Phipps will be joining us as a panelist, and she is a licensed Psychologist and owner of Small Victories Wellness Services in Middletown, CT. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hartford. Dr. Whendi Cook Broderick will be joining us as a panelist as well. She is an Easton resident and a psychology professor at Concordia College. Whendi is mindful of the complexities of physical distancing as they relate to education, mental health and wellness. Mary Dobson will also be joining us as a panelist, and she is the founder and executive director of LIFT Wellness Group where she is a licensed Marital and Family Therapist, as well as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist in Easton, CT.
