Longtime Easton resident Bobby Lounge,” aka  Bob LaValle, Robert LaValle, and Mr. LaValle at Helen Keller Middle School, will appear along with his guitar-playing buddy Timmy Dee (DeHuff) at their debut appearance at Fairfield Social Restaurant, 116 Post Road, Fairfield, Conn. on March 7 from 7 to 10 p.m.

After a long and very satisfying public school career, LaValle retired from his 32-year position as band director at the middle school.  Upon retirement, he and his wife planned to continue performing as a duo as well with their very popular group, Heartbeat Dance Band. When Barbara became ill everything changed. Bob left to devote himself to his beloved partner.

After Barbara’s passing, Lavalle took the time to try to make sense of life and death and all the stuff that falls between. Though much remains elusive, he is certain of at least one thing: his need to make and share music.

Returning to the Heartbeat drum chair, Lavalle is also performing on his own as “Bobby Lounge,” the name his Heartbeat band members affectionately used any time he sang a song that sounded corny.
