Looking to add a challenge to your outdoor workout routine? The Easton 175th Anniversary Virtual 5k will take place from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30, any place you enjoy to run or walk.
Sponsored by the Easton Park and Recreation Department, the team has put together a well curated list of interesting historical places and great local farms to see or visit on your run that will be sure to make this 5k a little more interesting.
T-shirts will be given to every race applicant and may be picked up at the Park and Recreation office at 652 Morehouse Road, Easton, Conn. Please allow time for an email notification that your shirt is available.
You have all of September to finish your run and submit your time. The race officially ends on Sept. 30. The 5k can be entered individually or as a team; there is a 10k option as well. A donation will be made to the United Way; the goal is to raise $5.000.
