DUI

Police responded to a call reporting a car on the side of the road on Route 58 and Center Road at approximately 11:15 p.m. on June 12. The driver, Axel Efinger, 23, lost control of the vehicle when he looked down at his phone, police said.

After failing to perform field sobriety tests, he was taken to the police department for processing and was later released to a parent after posting a $50 bond, police said. He was assigned a court date of June 22 to answer to the following charges: operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to drive right, and operating a motor vehicle while using a handheld phone, according to police reports.

Disorderly Conduct

Police officers responded to a Maple Road residence at approximately noon Sunday, June 13,  when a call to the department was received from the victim requesting help. As reported by police, both parties had been arguing, when the alleged offender, David Solway, 60, became aggressive. He was given a misdemeanor summons for disorderly conduct and was scheduled to appear at the Bridgeport Superior Court on Monday, June 14.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
