The Town Clerk’s Office continues to be one of the most vital and busy offices in our town government. The wide variety of services we provide makes us particularly unique. From land records and vital records to dog licenses and absentee ballots, we are actively involved in influencing your life on many coordinated, important levels of daily living. When you have a question for the town, chances are the Town Clerk’s Office will know or will help to connect you with whatever information is needed. Along with our devoted staff of assistant town clerks Joan Kirk and Deborah Szegedi, we always strive to help you in a very friendly, transparent and accessible manner. The Town Clerk’s Office provides and manages online access to Town of Easton land records and maps, including initiating a subscription-based online service providing additional revenue to the town. As a service to our residents and customers, our staff is working on finalizing procedures for acceptance of credit and debit cards. In addition, our team is responsible for updating the town website, posting daily notices, meeting information and events associated with town government and boards and commissions, maintaining the Town Ordinances, and safeguarding historical records. The Town Clerk’s Office often receives accolades for providing superior customer service and improving public access to documents and records.
Although not a policy-making elected position in Easton, I support maintaining fiscal responsibility, supporting services for our seniors, responsibly educating and keeping our youth safe, and preserving Easton’s natural beauty with local control. I deeply respect the residents of our town and believe in the efforts to continue to support our inclusive community as well as honor and respect those who protect us.
Working diligently and passionately to serve the residents and visitors to our town, I have earned and achieved the professional designations of Certified Connecticut Town Clerk (CCTC) and Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) — an international distinction. To ensure the highest accountability and professional development, I am honored to serve on the Legislative Bylaws Committee for the Connecticut Town Clerks Association (CTCA), Fairfield County Town Clerks Association and the Board of Directors and Conference Committee representing Connecticut for the New England Association of City and Town Clerks (NEACTC).
