Holiday Market and Tree Lighting Returns to Library on Sunday, December 5

The Friends of the Easton Public Library are delighted to announce the return of their annual Holiday Market and Tree Lighting celebration at the library on Sunday, December 5 from 2-6 p.m.

The afternoon will feature an array of local area crafters showcasing and selling their wares for the season, activities for the children, light refreshments, caroling and, of course, the actual tree lighting itself. Word has it Santa will swing by to see the children–and maybe Mrs. Claus too! Activities are free for everyone to enjoy.

The holiday market will be in the Community Room where masks will be required; a few tables might be outside, weather permitting. Everything else will be outside in the fresh air. Bundle up if it’s cold and be ready to sing!

The Friends of the Easton Library have supported the library for more than 25 years. In the spring of 2021, the group renewed its commitment to help the library, starting up again with a new volunteer steering committee, a website, a roster of over 60 new members, and lots of fresh ideas. The group has raised over $10,000, with monies going to a variety of discretionary projects to enhance our gem of a library. Activities have included supporting a National Library Giving Day in April, a Wine and Cheese gathering in June, and a Used Book Sale in October. Plans for more activities are in the works: come join us on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 7-8 p.m. to share your ideas and talents. Questions?
