The town will be host a public information meeting on Thursday, Feb. 10 to learn more from Easton residents about housing needs and possible housing strategies for the future.

Every Connecticut municipality is required to adopt an affordable housing plan by June of this year and the public meeting is an opportunity for Easton residents and businesses to provide input and feedback to guide this effort.  The meeting will talk about current and anticipated future housing needs in Easton and about alternative housing options that could be considered for Easton.

“This meeting is an important exercise which will help Easton understand housing needs and consider alternative housing strategies,” said First Selectman Dr. David Bindelglass.

The public information meeting is scheduled to run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

There are two options for participation:

Community input and feedback will enhance the effort of preparing an affordable housing plan for Easton.  In addition, it is anticipated that input from this meeting will be useful for future planning purposes.

Easton residents are encouraged to participate in the meeting to help ensure that we understand community goals.
