Easton Pride is happy to announce three events planned for June 1, the first day of Pride Month.
At 4: 30 pm there will be Pride Story Time for all ages at the Easton Public Library in the community room. Stories will be read and crafts made. Registration is required at the following link: https://www.eventkeeper.com/code/ekform.cfm?curOrg=EASTONPL&curID=570146&CFID=47028302&CFTOKEN=11a069f772daa144-02D7313D-D4AE-528A-53501DEA7D111D60.
At 5:30 p.m. the 3rd annual Pride flag-raising ceremony will be held in front of the Easton Town Hall. Easton will be flying the Pride flag for the entire month of June. A variety of speakers from the Easton LGBTQ+ community will attend the ceremony.
At 6 p.m. immediately following the Pride flag-raising ceremony, Pride Celebration will take place at the Easton Public Libary where there will be live music, good food and a caring community. Bring your picnic blanket and set yourself up on the library lawn. There will be live music from the band uncis with a guest appearance by Florisca Carter, and a food truck from Walrus Alley.
Weather permitting, there will also be an ice cream truck, plenty of crafts for the kids, lawn games, and Easton Pride swag. In addition, there will be tables with resources and information available from Triangle Community Center, Easton’s Here to Help, the Center for Family Justice, and the Easton Library, and more.
All are welcome.
