The Easton Energy & Environment Task Force is excited to announce that new information is coming this summer to every household’s recycling cart.
Through funding from a small state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEPP grant, and assistance from Boy Scouts Troop 66, each cart will receive an adhesive label with easy-to-read information about what can be recycled and what can’t.
We’re hoping to improve the quality of our recycling stream, reduce the fees paid by the Town of Easton for contaminated loads, and ultimately reduce the amount of trash that is burned or landfilled. If you see the Boy Scouts at work, please thank them for their service to the community. And happy recycling!
