Upon arrival the officer observed the motor vehicle laying on its passenger side in the woods. It was reported that the driver had fled the scene and a brief description was provided. Following a search of the area, a 38-year-old resident of Monroe was located, arrested and charged with evading responsibility and bypassing an ignition interlock device. He is due to appear in court on August 11.

*After receiving an erratic driver complaint, an officer in the area located and observed an erratic driver and noted the smell of alcohol on the breath of a 43-year-old resident of Monroe. The man was placed under arrest after he refused to cooperate with any requests from the officer, including contacting an attorney. He was charged with operating under the influence and failure to take a breath test. He was released on a $100 cash bond. His court date is set for August 12.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
