Let there be light!
For the month of December, the Easton Public Library has been hosting a Hanukkah display in its glass display case. The display, which was curated by Robert and Bonnie Goldstein of Congregation Adath Israel in Newtown, features a variety of dreidels and menorahs in different styles and colors.
“As Hanukkah approaches this year on December 18, many Jewish people will be lighting their menorahs, filling their homes with light and love,” said Bonnie Goldstein. “As you can see in our display, menorahs come in many different sizes and shapes, and Congregation Adath Israel is displaying menorahs to bring awareness of our synagogue in Newtown and to share our light and love with the surrounding communities,” she added.
Congregation Adath Israel of Newtown and Congregation B’nai Israel of Danbury are sponsoring a Community Hanukkah Celebration on Sunday, Dec. 18 from 3 -5 p.m. at 115 Huntingtown Road, Newtown. This is fun for all ages. Refreshments will be served and the first candle of Hanukkah will be lit at 4:30 p.m.
