The Easton Public Library can now help residents stay connected even when they are not in the Library.
WiFi hotspots are now available for checkout to Easton residents who are 18 and over. Thanks to a special offer for nonprofit organizations and funding from the Friends of the Library, there are three hotspots available, each of which can be checked out for 14 days. Renewals and holds are not allowed, and the devices have to be returned inside the Library.
Residents can use the hotspots to access WiFi locally or while traveling. The service plan for the hotspots is provided by T-Mobile, so they will work anywhere there is a T-Mobile network.
Borrowers will be required to sign a loan agreement before checking out a hotspot.
“This is something we’ve been looking into and thinking about doing for a while,” said Lynn Zaffino, library director. “I am very excited to offer these devices, and I encourage people to come in and check them out.”
