To the Editor:
I write with heart in hand to inform the Easton community that I will be resigning my post as Priest-in-charge of Christ Church at the end of the summer. I have accepted a full-time position as Director of Justice and Wellness at Highville Charter School/Highville Change Academy in New Haven. I am saddened to be leaving the vibrant parish of Christ Church, all of our community partners, and the town of Easton, even as I am excited to be stepping into this new role.
It has been my extreme privilege and deep joy to join with parishioners, neighbors, and fellow religious and community groups alike to serve our community. I look forward to hearing about the myriad of ways Christ Church and its cherished town will continue to partner in service of the greater good, seeking to do justice, love loving-kindness and walk humbly together (Micah 6:8).
The parish has already initiated the steps necessary toward calling their next parish priest whom I know, too, will treasure their time in Easton and whom the church will look forward to introducing to you. In the meantime, I look forward to these weeks ahead together. Join us for Concerts on the Hill or for my last service of worship, Sunday August 27 at 9 a.m. (under the tent)!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making my time here so meaningful and for the ongoing support you will give Christ Church as, with big hearts and ready hands, they seek to be and build a community of love in Easton and the world.
Peace and Gratitude,
Rev. Ally
