To the Editor:
I am writing in support of Wendy Bowditch for First Selectman of Easton. I have worked with Wendy on the Easton RTC for a dozen years now and I’ve consistently witnessed her commitment to the party and to the town all along. Where others have sought to push personal agendas within the RTC, Wendy has succeeded in being a collaborative leader who puts the town’s best interests first. Her years of working at Town Hall have given her a comprehensive knowledge of the nuts and bolts of municipal governance and the specifics of Easton and needs no training to hit the ground running.
I have also worked with Wendy in the money market brokerage business for thirty years and have known her to be a conscientious, loyal, and hard-working employee. In an office environment where everyone had to come together and work together to seal deals, Wendy truly excelled. Her ability to negotiate and execute are crucial skills she will bring to the First Selectman’s post.
Wendy has always remained steadfast in her support of the ideals of Putting Easton First. She believes in Fiscal Responsibility, Protective Zoning, and Excellence in Education and will pursue these goals as a First Selectman. As a friend and co-worker in various endeavors with Wendy I can vouch for her abilities and commitment.
