Good afternoon,

In the last two weeks, I have discussed our public safety improvement plans which include upgrading our emergency services communications as well as the EMS Building Renovation. This week, the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen were given the preliminary plan for improving our communication systems. This would include infrastructure for better coverage and new radios, at a cost of approximately $3 million. EMS will have a presentation of the plans and budget for its renovation at 7 p.m. on Sept, 10, at the Library Community Room. This is the regular meeting of the EMS Building Committee and is open to the public. There will be a Zoom link.
At last night’s Board of Selectmen meeting, we agreed to fly the Breast Cancer awareness flag over Town Hall again for the month of October. Thank you to Wendy Bowditch for providing the flag.
We will gather at the 9/11 Memorial in front of the Easton Public Library for a brief ceremony of remembrance at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
