“It is only the farmer who faithfully plants seeds in the spring, who reaps a harvest in the autumn. — B.C. Forbes

Welcome fall! A time for farmers to hustle with harvesting before the season’s first frost and reflect on the growing season they just got through. Weather, critters and disease can all play a role every season when tending the earth.

Here at Sport Hill Farm we celebrate autumn’s arrival with an amazing pumpkin patch. Did you know that pumpkin seeds are planted in June, even before it’s officially summer, for a fall harvest? Every one of our pumpkins and gourds were grown in Easton, seed to harvest, lovingly hand cut and placed on our field for the community to shop and capture beautiful moments.

Every Sunday. now through Halloween, we continue the tradition of our on-site outdoor “Falloween Markets.” They happen weekly now, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. These markets feature some of Connecticut’s most talented family-owned businesses. In these times, it’s more important than ever to support our local community.

Proof Pizza Truck is on site for brunch, delicious homemade cider donuts, bread and other treats available for purchase. Our on-site market is open to the public and filled with delicious seasonal produce, meats and more. We can’t wait to meet you here and celebrate all things fall.
