The Easton Arts Council will host its annual Photography Contest in November. Photographers are invited to bring their framed photograph(s) to the Easton Public Library Community Room on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or Sunday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a limit of two entries, with a $20 entry fee per photograph.

The Photography Show opens Friday, Nov. 15 and runs until Jan. 3. The 2024 Juror is Johnes Ruta, New Haven art theorist and curator. The Easton Arts Council will award a first-place prize of $100 cash to photographers in two categories: Local, photographs taken in Easton, and General, photographs taken anywhere else.

Prizes and certificates will be awarded at a reception for all participants and their families on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Easton Public Library from 7 to 10 p.m.

The winner of First Place in the Local — Easton — category receives the added honor of having his or her photograph placed on permanent display in Town Hall.
