Rain is in the forecast for this Saturday, so Connecticut Clean Communities has rescheduled its Litter Cleanup at the Easton Reservoir from April 26 to Sunday, April 27, from noon to 2 p.m.

Connecticut Clean Communities is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in 2023 and is entirely volunteer-driven. Its mission is to preserve habitat and protect animals while fostering community pride by organizing litter cleanups in neighborhoods, woodlands and along the shoreline.

Last year, 40 volunteers collected 1,300 pounds of trash last year, during the litter cleanup. Organizers hope to break that record this year.

Volunteers should meet at the Easton Public Library parking lot. If it is crowded, volunteers can park at the Town Hall. All cleanup tools will be provided.

Call 203-302-0494 for more information, or to take part in the cleanup on the Connecticut Clean Communities website.
