Lois A. Firisin, of Chatham, MA and formerly of Easton, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, at the age of 89, with her daughter and caregiver, Darcie, by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, William (Bill) Firisin.
Born and raised in Springfield, MA, Lois, was the daughter of the late Ermindo H. and Louise M. (D’Aversa) Calabrese. She graduated from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, University of Bridgeport, where she met Bill, her lifelong love and father to their six children.
Lois was also predeceased by her younger brother, Richard Calabrese of Wilbraham, MA; her loving grandson, Colin Bussolari of Shelton, CT; and niece, Kelsa Calabrese of Fairfield, CT. She is survived by her children: Deborah Bussolari of Easton, CT; Donna & Frank Souza of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Darcie Firisin of Chatham, MA; William & Cheryl Firisin of Easton, CT; Wesley & Shannon Firisin of Danvers and Brewster, MA; and Whitney & Thy Firisin of Estero, FL; sister, Susan & Michael Fontaine of Warwick, RI; sister-in-law, Judith Calabrese of Wilbraham, MA; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and seven nieces and a nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Church, Easton, CT. Saturday, May 17, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ Church of Easton, Columbarium Garden Fund.
