“I was drawn to Christ Church Easton because, despite it being a small parish and ministering without a priest for some time, it is so lively and active and welcoming people from all walks of life and all sorts of spiritual and religious backgrounds,” said Piazza. “In just my few Sundays so far, I have seen a truly welcoming and Spirit-filled place.”

The congregation welcomed Piazza in October. Looking ahead, Piazza said she hopes to build on the parish’s existing strengths.

“I hope that I can support the spiritual and sacramental life, deepen understanding of our Christian beliefs, and equip ministries, especially those serving the most vulnerable,” she said.

Piazza earned a Master of Divinity from The General Theological Seminary in New York City and a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. She also serves as rector at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Weston, a position she has held since 2015.

Previously, Piazza served as interim priest at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Pawling, N.Y., and as staff clergy at St. John’s Church in Larchmont, N.Y.

While studying at seminary, she met and married her husband, Mario. The couple lives in Weston and has two teenage sons.

Sunday services at Christ Church are held at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome. For more information about parish life, outreach, and community events, visit the church’s website.
