Easton voters approved all five questions in Tuesday’s budget referendum at Samuel Staples Elementary School, according to unofficial results.

The town’s $53,997,174 budget for fiscal year 2026-27, which includes Easton’s share of the Regional School District 9 budget, passed 667 to 306.

The Region 9 operating budget of $27,226,097 for fiscal year 2026-27, which is voted on by Easton and Redding, the district’s two member towns, passed in both towns: 690 to 282 in Easton and 336 to 166 in Redding. The combined Region 9 vote was 1,026 to 448.

A $50,000 supplemental appropriation from the undesignated fund balance to the town’s legal budget for the current fiscal year passed 723 to 246. A $60,000 supplemental appropriation from the undesignated fund balance to the Police Department budget for additional overtime in the current fiscal year passed 713 to 256.

Proposed amendments to Chapter 160 of the town’s Purchasing Ordinance passed 655 to 258.
