To the Editor:
I have served on the Easton and Region 9 Boards of Education I believe we must be vigilant in protecting local control of our schools and, therefore, I strongly encourage the election of John Shaban as state representative.
His opponent is a leader in the Progressive Caucus in Hartford, which has listed on its agenda requiring climate change curriculum in Connecticut public schools This is the camel’s nose under the tent.
Shaban will be an advocate for local control of education and will oppose forced regionalization of schools. He served Easton well as our state representative from 2011-17.
We need his expertise and experience back in Hartford.
