Political Sign
After learning from his attorney on Nov. 10 there was a warrant out for his arrest, a 69-year-old Fairfield man turned himself in to Easton Police on Nov. 18. He is accused of taking a political sign from the yard of an Easton resident on Oct. 7.
The resident watched as a man took the sign from her yard, according to the report. She was able to obtain a license plate number before he drove away. The suspect was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree. He was ordered to appear in court on Dec. 15.
Multiple Charges
Easton police received a call reporting a domestic dispute Nov. 18 at an Easton residence. An argument ensued between the victim and the offender; the altercation became physical when the victim tried to call 911, according to the report.
Nicholas Granfors, 27, of Easton, was charged with disorderly conduct, strangulation in the third degree and interfering in an emergency call. He was ordered to appear in court on Nov. 19.
Dual Domestic Charges
The Easton Police Department received a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute on Nov. 21 at approximately 1 p.m. Victim 1/Offender 1 reported that she and her boyfriend had an argument that turned physical. Victim 1/Offender 1 stated that she struck Victim 2/Offender 2 because he hit her, and she was defending herself.
Victim 1/Offender 1 was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and was ordered to appear in court on Nov. 23.
Victim 2/Offender 2 was charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order, a criminal arrest, and ordered to appear in court on Nov. 23.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
