Early voting for the Republican and Democratic primaries will be held in the Community Room at the Easton Library from Monday, Aug. 3, through Sunday, Aug. 9. Early voting is open only to registered members of the Democratic and Republican parties.
The primary races include the Democratic nomination for governor and the Republican nomination to challenge 4th District U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., in the November election.
Early voting hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3; Wednesday, Aug. 5; Friday, Aug. 7; Saturday, Aug. 8; and Sunday, Aug. 9. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and Thursday, Aug. 6.
Primary Day is Tuesday, Aug. 11. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Staples Elementary School Cafetorium.
Only registered Democrats and Republicans may vote in their respective party’s primary, whether casting a ballot during the early voting period or on Primary Day.
Absentee ballots will be available to eligible party members from Tuesday, July 21, through Monday, Aug. 10, at the Easton Town Clerk’s Office.
