From hamsters to horses, from parakeets to poodles, all are welcome to the Blessing of the Animals at Christ Church Easton on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 9:30 a.m.

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, the Rev. Ally Brundige will run this special service for all.

The Blessing of the Animals reminds us that we creatures — great and small — are loved and connected. We will ask God’s special blessings for our animal friends who give us so much. Animals help heal us, love us, feed us, give us awe, and remind us to appreciate the simple things.

The service will occur in front of the church on the church yard. Christ Church in Easton welcomes everyone from any religious or non-religious background. The church is located just off Stepney Road (Route 59), one-quarter mile north of Route 136.
