UPDATE: All ER9 schools are closed Friday, Feb. 4. Offices are open and will close at noon.

The Easton Police Department has issued another weather warning for tomorrow. Some models are predicting rain through the morning and an afternoon drop in temperature creating a hazardous icy mix.

Police Chief Richard Doyle suggests that residents monitor conditions closely. “This is a tricky one,” Doyle said. “Different models are predicting different temperatures. I wish snow was in the prediction. Snow is easy. Ice is difficult.”

ER9 Superintendent Dr. Jason McKinnon informed parents on Thursday evening that “an early dismissal might be required … but no decision has been made at this time.”

In the event of a power outage, call UI directly at 1-800-722-5584. To report any hazards or emergencies, call the Easton Police Department at 203-268-4111 or dial 911.

Because of the uncertainties Doyle added, “Look out your window and use your judgment.”
